The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) was honored to welcome H.E. Semih Lütfü Turgut, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye, and Mr. Ismail Tulukcu, Commercial Counsellor, on 13th January 2026, at the National Chamber Boardroom.
The President and Executive Committee members of NCCSL engaged in productive discussions to explore opportunities for strengthening bilateral trade and investment relations between Sri Lanka and Türkiye. The meeting focused on various topics to enhance the economies of both countries and promote the FromSriLanka.com platform as a strategic tool to connect Turkish buyers with Sri Lankan exporters, facilitating seamless B2B trade partnerships.
Discussions also focused on identifying potential sectors for mutual investment in both countries, exploring areas where Sri Lankan and Turkish businesses can collaborate for sustainable growth. A significant outcome of the meeting was the proposal to organize a high-level NCCSL business delegation visit to Türkiye, aimed at exploring market opportunities, establishing direct business connections, and strengthening commercial ties between the two nations.
Both parties expressed commitment to increasing bilateral trade opportunities and diversifying the trade baskets for businesses between Sri Lanka and Türkiye.
