The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL), in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship, successfully hosted an insightful knowledge-sharing session titled “Going Global: strengthening partnerships and connecting to Global Supply Networks” on 3rd August 2026 at the Chamber Auditorium. The session was chaired by Hon. Chathuranga Abeysinghe, Deputy Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship.
The programme focused on a comprehensive overview of the evolving global market landscape, highlighting emerging trends and patterns that present new opportunities for Sri Lankan businesses to expand their international footprint. Participants gained valuable insights into how these global developments can be translated into practical business opportunities and sustainable growth strategies.
The discussion further examined the key structural challenges that currently limit Sri Lanka’s integration into global supply networks. Hon. Abeysinghe emphasized the importance of strengthening the country’s competitiveness through improved market access, strategic positioning, and collaboration among stakeholders. He also underscored the significance of business listing, market readiness, and developing effective go-to-market strategies built on collaboration to achieve focused and measurable outcomes.
The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, during which participants had the opportunity to raise industry-specific concerns and receive valuable policy-level insights directly from the Deputy Minister.
On behalf of the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka, we extend our sincere appreciation to Hon. Chathuranga Abeysinghe, the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship, and all participants for their valuable contributions, which made the session both engaging and impactful. The Chamber remains committed to facilitating knowledge-sharing initiatives that empower Sri Lankan businesses to strengthen their global competitiveness and successfully integrate into international supply networks.
