
The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) successfully hosted the ‘Meet the Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development’ session on 26 March 2025 at the National Chamber Auditorium.
Hon. Sunil Handunneththi, Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, and Hon. Chathuranga Abeysinghe, Deputy Minister, engaged in insightful discussions with business leaders, entrepreneurs, and industry stakeholders on key policy developments, investment facilitation, and industrial growth strategies.
Key Points Discussed:
🔹 Government Policies & Industry Development: Policy stability, manufacturing incentives, export sector development, and entrepreneurial support.
🔹 Workforce Development & Entrepreneurship: Addressing skills gaps, fostering entrepreneurship and innovation, promoting women entrepreneurs, and supporting small entrepreneurs.
🔹 Business Expansion & Export Growth: Enhancing access to funding, resources, and technological advancements for business expansion and export growth.
🔹 Innovation & Industry Challenges: Overcoming trade, logistics, and regulatory issues to drive export opportunities and business expansion.
As part of the ongoing efforts to monitor progress, Deputy Minister Abeysinghe requested that a meeting be held among stakeholders twice a month to evaluate the progress of the ‘Meet the Minister’ initiative and ensure its continued success.
