The National Business Excellence Awards (NBEA) 2026, organized by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL), concluded successfully on 28th July at the Shangri-La Colombo, marking the 21st consecutive year of the country’s premier business awards programme.
Held under the theme “Excellence Forged Through Resilience,” the grand awards night brought together a large gathering of business leaders, entrepreneurs, distinguished guests and nominees from across the island in celebration of outstanding achievement in the Sri Lankan business sector. The Awards ceremony was graced by His Excellency Rémi Lambert, Ambassador of France to Sri Lanka and the Maldives, as the chief guest and commended the achievements of the nominees and the Chamber’s continued role in advancing standards of business excellence in Sri Lanka.
The welcome address was delivered by Mr. Anura Warnakulasooriya, President of the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka and the event was also addressed by Senior Professor Ajantha Dharmasiri, Co-Chairman of the Panel of Judges highlighting the Evaluation and judging process of NBEA 2026. This year’s edition featured over 105 nominees competing across 31 business sectors, evaluated through a rigorous and transparent process overseen by the Panel of Judges and Technical & Financial Evaluation Committee.
Since its establishment in 2004, the NBEA has remained one of Sri Lanka’s most prestigious business recognition platforms, honouring companies that demonstrate excellence in business and organizational performance while contributing to the country’s economic progress.
