The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) led a business delegation to Mumbai, India, to participate in the 10th Global Economic Summit (GES) 2025 and the 6th World Trade Expo (WTE) 2025, held from 21–22 November 2025 at the World Trade Centre Mumbai. The delegation was headed by Mr. Anura Waranakulasuriya, President of the NCCSL, and it was organized in collaboration with the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Mumbai, the World Trade Centre Mumbai, and the All-India Association of Industries (AIAI). The visit aimed to strengthen bilateral trade relations, expand international market access, and create new opportunities for Sri Lankan businesses.
A key highlight of the delegation’s participation was the signing of two MoUs with World Trade Centre Mumbai and All India Association of Industries (AIAI), aimed at promoting trade facilitation, enhancing business networking, and fostering long-term collaboration between Sri Lanka and India.
In addition, the National Chamber promoted Sri Lankan products and services through the fromsrilanka.com (FSL) digital platform and participated in the Expo with an exhibition stall. Member companies Midaya Ceramic and Knuckles Valley Plantation also showcased Sri Lanka’s manufacturing capabilities and agricultural export potential to an international audience.
