Entrepreneur Awards – The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka

The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka, in partnership with the National Enterprise Development Authority (NEDA), is proud to announce the launch of the Western Province Entrepreneur Awards 2024. Now in its seventh consecutive year, this prestigious event celebrates outstanding achievements in the Micro, Small, Medium, and Large Sectors, with a special focus on business excellence within the region.

The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka and NEDA have been assisting the micro, small, medium and large sectors in the regions for a long time, and this offers special focus towards the upliftment of these sectors in the Western province to develop their businesses and conduct training programs for them, including entrepreneurs with special abilities.

Applications are now open: Entrepreneurs from the Western Province are invited to apply, and the Application forms available at the National Chamber Secretariat, 450 D.R. Wijewardena Mawatha, Colombo 10, and can be downloaded online here. There are 27 Awards and Merit Awards to be presented to the winners in the business sectors of: Industry/Manufacturing Sector; Agriculture/Livestock & Fishing Sector; and Hospitality/Tourism/Other Services Sector including gold, silver, and bronze winners for overall excellence. Benefits for Award Winners: Winners will receive significant recognition through extensive provincial and national media coverage, both in print and online. Awardees will also receive preferential support from NEDA, the National Chamber, and other associated institutions, enabling further growth and development. 5th Consecutive Year on 10 March 2021 at BMICH

Organized by: The National Enterprise Development Authority (NEDA) and the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka for the Entrepreneurs in the Western Province, for the third time.

The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka and National Enterprise Development Authority concluded the “Western Province Entrepreneurship Awards ceremony 2020” in grand scale at BMICH – Lotus Hall on 10 March 2021. The Secretary of Ministry of Industries Mr. Anusha Pelpita graced the occasion as the Chief Guest among other dignitaries. The Awards Competition was designed for Micro, Small, Medium and Large sector entrepreneurs in the fields of Industry/Manufacturing Sector, Agriculture/Livestock/Fisheries Sector and Hospitality/Tourism & other services sector and awards were presented for best practices as namely ; Best Environmental Friendly Enterprise, Best Exporter, Best Productive Enterprise, Best Innovative Enterprise, Best Value Added Enterprise, Best Energy Efficient Enterprise, Award for the Entrepreneur – Who has Provided Most Number of Jobs for Females, Award for the Best Woman Entrepreneur, Award for the Best Entrepreneur – Differently abled, Award for the Best Entrepreneur – Recovered from COVID related Business Issues and Award for the Best Entrepreneur – Survived during the COVID-19 Pandemic presented to the best performance in 11 thematic areas. “The Best Entrepreneur of the year 2020 – Western Province” is the most prestigious award of the event. It recognizes the most outstanding enterprise in the province in 2020 and it was awarded to Christell Skin Clinic (Pvt) Ltd. The event was graced by a large gathering of MSME and Large sector Entrepreneurs together with Government officials, top corporates representatives.

2nd consecutive year – at the Sri Lanka Foundation Auditorium

The Best Western Provincial Entrepreneur of 2017 was won by Sethma Hospital Pvt Limited in Gampaha.
